Luis Pastor – Nicaragua
He is one of the most prominent Nicaraguan composers and interpreters of the Son Nica and the Nueva Canción. His work ventures into the social sphere, humanism and the love for his country Nicaragua.
Throughout his musical career, he has recorded several relevant songs like the one dedicated to Pope John Paul II during his visit to Nicaragua in 1996 and more recently a song that resonated during the election of miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios as Miss Universe in 2023. Luis Pastor will be performing together with his talented son Adrian González Mejía on the marimba.

Max Frigüey – El Salvador
Salvador singer songwriter Max Frigüey is the proud son of the beautiful Santa Ana city in the occident of El Salvador. Founder of the prominent band “La Fiesta Frigüey” regarded as one of the most influential bands of El Salvador for more than two decades. Max, while performing as the frontman of Frigüey also developed himself as a producer and manager. He moved to Canada a few years ago where has continued his passion for music as singer of different projects of Latin music in Alberta. Get ready to enjoy a fusion of rock with cumbia, salsa as well as other latin rhythms.

Luis Leiva – Guatemala
Master marimbista, Luis Leiva is an active musician in the Houston area, owner of the Marimba Reina Quetzalteca. Preserving the rich Guatemalan heritage through the sounds of the traditional wooden marimba, a noble instrument of African origins but that throught centuries have become the recognizable timbre of the South Mexican and Central American folkore. Luis will be performing at the vendor fair at 5:30PM but also will perform at the stage of Cacfest with the house band.

Carolina Roth – Costa Rican folkloric dance
Carolina Roth’s journey as a Costa Rican folklorist began at age twelve by the sea, when she first heard the marimba and felt called to dance. Over 30 years later, that calling has taken her around the world—from Japan to Israel—sharing the universal language of art.
Alongside her daughter Kamila, her dance partner and inspiration, Carolina has shared this passion in schools and Indigenous communities across Costa Rica. For her, dance is a bridge—connecting generations, cultures, and hearts through love, heritage, and expression.

Amor por Panamá Folkoric Group
Love for Panama is a cultural group in Austin that focuses on teaching a new generation of kids, folkloric dances from Panamá with the respect and rigurosity of representing century-old traditions of dresses and accesories from specific regions of Panamá
The group has been active for several years in Austin and it is often called for other Panamanians communities in Texas. They will perform at the ESB MACC Zócalo plaza early on Saturday at 5:30 PM and later during the music concert will perform a very special ball couple dance.

Mauricio Callejas Trio
Mauricio Callejas, his wife Teresita and son Mauricio Ernesto will perform as a trio with other talented musicians from Austin TX. They will perform songs from Mauricio’s latest album “Trópicos”and a selection of music from Central America.
Mauricio founded the first songwriter directory of Central America, www.centroamericanto.net Over time, this project evolved to become Centroamericanto Fest in Austin TX.
