Join us to the 17th edition of Centroamericanto Fest, a two-day cultural celebration. Starting on Friday September 19th with our Central American Film night and on Saturday September 20th the Central American music concert. Both events will be held at the Asian American Resource Center on 8401 Cameron Rd. Austin TX. 78754.

On Friday 19th, the film festival will premiere the salvadoran movie “Nunca Es Tarde”, join us to the meet and greet its producer and actress Cristina Melendez and other memebers of the cast, they will also be participating of a Q&A session after the movie. Other films showing are Costa Rican documentary “Buscando el swing” and salvadoran short films “Todas”, “Fleeting” and “El de la mochila” also in attendance for Q&A will be André Grettfreund Oscar winner salvadoran producer and actor.

On Saturday 20th, the music festival, starts at 5:30PM with our vendor fair of artisans and traditional food. Later enjoy the music of Luis Pastor from Nicaragua, Max Frigüey from El Salvador, Luis Leiva of Marimba Quetzalteca from Guatemala, Danza Amor por Panamá, Costa Rican dance by Carolina Roth and also the performance of hosts Mauricio Callejas trio.
