Centroamericanto Fest is a cultural initiative that brings the music from Central America to Austin TX. The festival showcases the music of some of the most influential singer-songwriters from the Central American region. Read more about Centroamericanto Fest history HERE.

2017 Line-up

We are proud to announce "Ensamble Esperanza" to perform at Centroamericanto Fest 2017. The ensemble is a group of talented Costarican musicians showcasing traditional music from Latin America. Also performing: Clara Curteis, Mister Meli from Nicaragua, Jeana and Juan Carlos Ureña from Costa Rica and Mauricio Callejas from El Salvador.

Mexican American Cultural Center

CACFest 2017 will take place at the Mexican American Cultural Center auditorium. The MACC is one of the most treasured City of Austin cultural facilities and it is a true epicenter for the Latino community in Austin . Read more about the theater, parking and directions HERE

Who We Are

A quick history about CACFest

CACFest started in El Salvador in 2005 as a mere gathering of singer-songwriters. It was brought to Austin TX in 2011 by his founder, Salvadoran singer-songwriter Mauricio Callejas, debuting with a sold out concert at the Cactus Cafe, since then CACFest has organized outdoor community events and more intimate concerts at different local venues. This project is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Economic Development Department, Cultural Arts Division and the Texas Commission of the Arts.
